1. Side Loaded apps don't display on home screen install Sideload Launcher from Google Play store

I have a feeling that it's not the side loading, but rather that the APKs are for not Android TV. I can't think of one offhand - but try sideload an Android TV app ?

5. Plex
- No issues works fine from device store
* Possible issue with multi channel sound DTS/Dolby pro+ ( Check on plex server for direct stream or if it is transcoding the stream.

DD/DTS worked fine on mine ; I had an issue with TrueHD


7. TV Setting Keeps crashing in settings

I've mentioned this to the 'powers that be' and hopefully it'll be fixed.
 
anyone using this box and not on telkom? is this causing any issues?

i take it the netflix is the sa version? anyone tried to run a vpn to access the us one?

I side loaded Nord VPN successfully and was running Kodi with it connected to a USA server.

Don’t see why you can’t do the same for Netflix?

I’m not on Telkom ISP, using Vox although I am using a Telkom ADSL line
 
this is weird ...
hard reset makes no difference ...
plugging the tvc into my primary mikrotik ,the Ethernet port works fine .. but plugging it into any other switch downstream ( other mikrotik / fortiap the link light goes out as soon as the setup moves to the network initialization section ...


everything else in the house works flawlessly over Ethernet ...

any other ideas please ....
Check your lan cable ? Maybe it's a faulty or cross over which is not compatible ?
 
Is anyone else having issues with the side-loaded Netflix? (Downloaded from Netflix version 4.16.200147)

It opens fine, and plays fine (aside from the stereo only annoyance) but when an episode of what you watching finishes it doesn’t go to the next one... the app crashes. And if you try and skip manually then it crashes too!!

Constantly have to relaunch which is getting annoying :(

My understanding is that android and android tv are different although they run on the same core system.

So essentially you running a version of an app made for a phone/tab on your LIT box which is android tv not android which you would find on the phone/tab

Unless I’m way off here??
 
O okay makes sense so if I understand correctly the apps from apkpure for example is for android tv
 
Why is Netflix app available on the Play Store for a Mibox and not for the LIT? They are both official Android TV boxes.
 
I have a Mibox and got the Netflix app from the Store. DSTV Now is sideloaded.

If you search for Netflix on the LIT box there are no results

No official support, let’s hope it comes soon though

Not sure why or what’s going on. Box was meant to launch with Netflix and DSTV now official support but clearly something went wrong along the way on Telkom side... ???
