Hi, our area has recently gotten Fibre via Vumatel, and I was considering moving to fibre from adsl. Seeing as I am on a tight budget, I considered getting the 4mbps package. It costs only R499 per month, and includes a router and installation if a 24 month contract is signed.

Just wanted to know if they are a viable ISP and if their service is decent? Please share your experiences to help me make a decision.

I'm using their 50/50 package at the moment, can't really complain, some sources max out at around 15mbps but I have to do some more testing to confirm this. No immediate plans to move

Thanks for the reply, I'm not expecting large speeds, just wanted to know how their general service was, and how reliable they are.

Would you recommend me going to them?

I have a 10mb line from ISP Afrika for R469 and using Vox data, no issues.

They do have online chat on their website, which works quite well. Their call centre is also quick to answer.

I'm using VOX on Octotel Fibre.

Installation took forever, but can't complain about them as an ISP.Been working well without any hitches and good speeds.

Only thing I would be worried about is signing into any form of contract with any ISP.

I see they offer a month to month as well with Router included. You can always ask them if it includes installation.
