Anyone else experiencing drastic signal drops and then disconnection since abt 7am? When I have MySignal open the signal number runs up and down. Doesn't "settle" Is anything from 0%-12%. Some serious interference somewhere.

I do not have any problems, but I was still sleeping that time. From 8:30am I did not notice any problems

Thx for letting me know. So it's just me so far...hmm. Maybe there is something wrong with my dish.

110 was giving signal etc. yesterday but on attempting to connect was giving remote computer not responding, I noticed this from about 4pm till 12pm, I then gave up have not checked today as yet .....

Have had similiar experiences this morning. From time to time modem will just start searching and eventually find signal again. Same thing happened Saturday morning when it couldn't find signal for most of the morning. Menlo tower 66

It's helluva windy in Joburg since this morning - stoopid speculation that this affects the reception? [:p]

I'd love to know if that's possible. I've had raging windy thunderstorms here months ago and that didn't affect it.

Dunno - I'm not tech-savvy on this stuff, merely speculated that with all the crap flying around because of the wind (dry leaves, our national flower - amashekas/plastic bags - dirt, broken twigs, etc.), how likely is it that this will cause interference? *Shrug*

Hmm it's a bit better now...signal looks more stable...speeds are higher again...hope I'm not in for the same tomorrow. It seems who/whatever was interfering with it went home for the day.

*touch wood*

Jostermeisie, see also topic http://www.myadsl.co.za/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3242
for further speculation...

Hmm, drastic signal drop? Thats an understantement. Since last Friday my SNL dropped from 7 to -4 (display 0). And I had to put a can on the antenna to get the -4. Interference seems to be a very strong -99Db vs my signal of 103. So I mail support desk, even with my address, and then Adrian asks his FAQ: "What is your Address." Of course then he replies and says that I am not in a coverage area, so "that must be your problem, now go away". (I used to be in 'paritial' coverage). But thats not the point. My SNL used to be 6 and now its -4 with a can, and I would like to know WHY.

Im in the South East sector of Helderkruin. Maybe I should go for a drive with my modem.. SIGH.

No wait, not Brian, Adrian... Adrian does the FAQ, and Brian tells me that I have typed my password wrong on two computers at the same time, "probably my Caps lock is on", WITHOUT TOUCHING THE KEYBOARD... interesting.
