Takeaway prices on food delivery apps like Uber Eats and Mr D are much higher than buying from restaurants directly.

A MyBroadband analysis showed that customers could pay up to double the in-store price for cheaper menu items.

Except that you have to throw the food away. It’s always cold an squashed. The drivers stack up on plenty of orders in one go so you get crap.

There's a curry place by us where the Uber Eats prices are almost double what they charge in store.

There's sometimes good specials at Uber Eats and Mr D Food though.

It's a good strategy for those restaurants.
I was under assumption these are their actual prices so I don't eat out it's too expensive.

a While back I had a missing kiddies burger on my order so I sent a complaint with pic to Mr D@#s, they sent me a (and no this is not a joke) R8 voucher code for future orders, lol, I now only use them when desperate or hungover.
