Upcoming Games

Now here's one I AM looking forward to because the original was so good. Haven't played that since 2003. Very disappointing though that they almost completely removed the cel shading. Why the hell did they do that? It's what made the original so unique
Well that's just because the graphics were worse at the time, they seem to have generally kept the same aesthetic.... and it always looks different when playing as in a video.

I just hope they if not remove then improve the agrivating checkpoint system and the last bossfight which was utterly ludicrous.

I can't remember much about XIII but I do know I loved it. Only played it once. Hope to refresh my memory with the remake.

Another one I'm looking forward to:

Love the Maybe at the end haha

Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition got a release date, 7 August,

Epic $15.77
Steam R269

It is a very good price, and those who still have their Epic coupon, it is redeemable once the game releases. $5.77 isn't a bad price. Choices.

The game is cheap as chips for our region - R269, couldn't resist.

Another one I'm looking forward to:

Nope. Fricken turn-based BS carp says "wait for 80% off"...

Was super excited until Larian confirmed it's going to damage this the same way it damaged all the rest of the games in their stable.

Anyone know if this was a limited time special (or maybe it was an error in the pricing)? A buddy and I bought the game yesterday at R269 (plus got R30 discount). Today it's priced at R680 so glad I bought it when I did.

It seems to have been an error,

I purchased on Epic and paid like a Rand or two less than R269

Epic $21.99 (old $15.77)
Steam R680 (old R269)

You okay bro

Jokes aside, those folks in Indonesia getting a bargain! I ended paying R234 as Steam has a special running where you get R35 off any purchase > R200

I am not caught up in the Epic debacle. I purchase wherever the price is right. I am glad that it seems the price is still honoured. Just checked on Epic and I still own the 'license' to play the game.

This isn't really a pre-order, the game already did exceptionally well.

I also bought immediately when I saw that price.

Today the microwave broke, the universe works in mysterious ways.

Wow, now I'm really happy I bought the game for R269. Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the price. I remember Gears 5 also had a region price initially of R999 on Steam before release. Then after a week or so later, they fixed the price for our region and it was then listed for R329. So I guess one should always be alert of new releases and then pounce on them (like this time) if the price is so low once they're available for preorder.

There was some article claiming the price changes were due to VPN abuse where people VPN in to different countries to access cheaper regional pricing. There isn't any reliable source of where the author of the article got this information though so I'm not sure it's true, looked more like an article to just get clicks.

I don't know. Steam has gotten very strict with this practice. I have had two run-ins with Steam, once in regard to location a change (which wasn't really my purpose, but anyway) and account sharing with a Canadian account. New accounts is a good likelihood to have been used to 'abuse' the system.

In both instances, my account was limited and I had to engage with support to resolve these matters.

The price also changed on Epic, and Epic also limits you to your country where you made an initial purchase.

Personally, I think Guerrilla made a mistake as most 'disadvantaged' currencies are very volatile at the moment.

Ye, I tend to agree with you. This looks more like a case of where the pricing structure wasn't set properly and just defaulted to whatever Steam does to calculate this per region.

Funny how many people are outraged by this mistake but wouldn't have said anything if there wasn't this price error, I initially expected the game to be around R500-R600 so I wouldn't have been surprised at the price which is set now. I probably woulnd't have bought it at that price though as I've already finished the game on PS4, but at R234 it's a no-brainer.
