Upcoming Games

If you were hoping to play Mafia: Definitive Edition later this summer, you’ll have to wait just a little longer. Today, 2K Games announced that the re-make of the original 2002 game will arrive on September 25th, not August 28th as originally planned. Unsurprisingly, the delay is due to COVID-19.

“Finalizing everything in time for that launch date has become increasingly challenging due to the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic, and the last thing we want to do is compromise the quality of the experience,” 2K Games and Hangar 13 wrote in a statement.

As a consolation for the delay, 2K Games has released a 15-second teaser, and the company plans to release an extended look at Mafia: Definitive Edition’s gameplay on July 22nd. Fans will be able to find that on the @mafiagame Twitter account.

If Playstation games ever, speedily, comes to PC this is it,

Sony invests $250 million in Fortnite maker Epic Games
Sony has invested $250 million for a minority stake in Fortnite maker Epic Games, the companies announced today. With the new money, Epic Games has raised $1.83 billion to date.

The companies said the deal cements an already close relationship between the two companies and reinforces the shared goal to advance the state of the art in technology, entertainment, and socially connected online services. This close relationship was underscored in May when Epic first showed the upcoming Unreal Engine 5 graphics running on a PlayStation 5. As the company itself has disclosed, Epic Games raised $1.58 billion to date in three previous funding rounds. In 2012, the company received a $330 million investment from Tencent for a 40% ownership stake.

I am going to love this game,

it is technical enough to please me and accessible enough to keep the casual numbers running. It would require content updates to keep the game interesting.

I do, however, think the game is a bit too pricey. Going by the video I would say it is more like $29,99 than $39,99.

I would like to start a clan playing this.

My only problem with Darktide is that it is another 4 player coop game. I like Vermintide, but this is likely to be Vermintide 3. I would appreciate something more unique like Space Hulk.

For a 2020 remake, Prince of Persia doesn't look all that great...

Prince of Persia: Demastered
Do we really need it?

Rather play the very first one (2d) or warrior within. The rest imho wasn't as good.

Wish they would rather make a new PoP to be honest. It's been way too many years. That plus a new Splinter Cell

I love them all. Sands of Time is great. Two Thrones even better. Warrior Within for me is the weakest but I still love it.

The 2009 reboot is massively underappreciated. Wish they completed the planned trilogy.

And then Forgotten Sands was surprisingly good as well but a bit too short.

Fun fact: the first Assassins Creed was originally going to be the next Prince of Persia game until they decided to go in a slightly different direction.

But WW biased

Look for reasons WW is the best one. It was one of the very few titles that finally had semi to decent FFF (free form fighting). I thought it was amazing that you could string your own combos into each other.

However, we really don't need another reboot/remaster.

I always struggled with all the combos in Warrior Within :p

Hell yeah, I'd kill for a new Splinter Cell but something along the lines of the first three games where is was less "actiony".

As for Sands of time it was an enjoyable game for me back then however I'd hate for it to be maimed with another Warcraft 3 remastered piece of sh|t, a new entry would make far more sense especially with the newer generation of consoles right here.
