How do I get the E3276 (non Hi-Link version) to work in Windows 10. The Hi-Link one works in Windows 10 but the other one with the Mobile Partner software connects but not properly since you can't access the internet.
Reason is that RAS modems connection restricts Windows downloads. MIcrosof call it a "metered connection". Microsoft don't like it, it is just for marketting purpose. NOT WORKING in purpose.

HiLink modems are "unrestricted" by definition, it is why they are working.

In my first reply to this thread I wrote, there were no solution. Since then no changes. Microsoft don't want to fix it.

I have three variations of USB Modems and cannot get one of them to work on Windows 10.

1) ZTE K3570-Z (Vodacom)
2) ZTE ML190 (Cell C)
3) Dlink DWM-156 (Telkom)

Any ideas how to get over this hurdle. I have tried as many tricks I could without any success. Windows 10 will not see any of the 3 USB Modems.

I have the same Problem with the DWM-156 modem (Telkom) but the ZTE MF190 (CellC) works fine with Firmware Version "BD_MF190v1.0.0B27" and I'm on Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit.
I know that the ZTE K3570-Z Modem won't work on Windows 10 but the K5150 and K5160 will after the Firmware upgrade. If you can try for one[1] of the above models and sell your un-used modems.

There is a solution on vodacoms 3G usb Router. You Need to download the software from Vodacom. Run the data Setup and restart the pc. Otherwise, you can simply bypass the vodacom connection and connect where you would normally select your wireless connections. It still shows how much data has been used/transferred, but you can not use the software to connect. But if you use the new installation from vodacom you will notice a brand new interface and it then works fine. I confirmed this as we tested this today. This was witha K3772-z Model
