Has Telkom/Openserve recently bumped up the upload speed on VDSL? I am syncing at 20/5 on a new MSAN that was activated about a week ago.

Strange indeed. That would be a very welcomed move from them if true I might finally change my ADSL profile to VDSL.

So my Broadcom based Zyxel syncs at 4Mbps up and my Mediatek based Trendnet at 5Mbps up.

By pasting text I could just make up? Anyways earlier today I asked CrystalWeb to check some things on my line. From that support chat:

(11:26:38 AM) Support Warrior: currentUploadSpeedKb: 5112
(11:26:51 AM) Support Warrior: currentDownloadSpeedKb: 20476

(I saw the same on the modem web interface)

You can post a screenshot and speed test.

Also I realised I might have sounded hostile, that's not the case, I just want to see it.

Taking and cropping a screenshot on Windows is painful, so here is a copy paste from Trendnet modem:

Downstream Upstream
SNR Margin (0.1dB): 30.9 6.2
Attenuation (0.1dB): 10.2 2.4
Output Power (dBm): 12.7 -9.8
Attainable Rate (Kbps): 114504 5672
Rate (Kbps): 20479 5112
D (interleave depth): 2733 64
Delay (msec): 0 0
Data Counter: 0 Clear 0 Clear

Eh, sure, but text will have to do for now. I will post some stats from the Broadcom based modem over the weekend.

Getting back on topic, any other VDSL users seeing anything similar?

Interesting. Can you post your line stats? Will be interesting to see what attenuation/SNR looks like on the upstream side.

So I upgraded to 40 Mbps:

SNR Margin (0.1dB): 23.0 6.4
Attenuation (0.1dB): 10.2 2.4
Output Power (dBm): 13.5 -12.5
Attainable Rate (Kbps): 134276 9390
Rate (Kbps): 40959 8964
D (interleave depth): 1554 81
Delay (msec): 0 0
Data Counter: 0 Clear 0 Clear

The new upload speeds are quite nice.
