VDSL upload speed (higher than expected?)

Mmm the upstream sync rate is very interleaving depth dependent. Unfortunately ASSIA dopped my interleaving depth on the upstream quite a bit. :/

Still at 3069 :(

Perhaps your stats or exchange simply don't allow it.

Everyone seems to have been upgraded, my SNR was triple what Openserve requires so I knew I was going to get it.

Maybe check and post your stats here.

Good call! Woohoo !!!

Is that Asus router of mine is anything to go by then I am good for about double what I am getting now.

Nothing wrong with my stats :)

Dang! That's much better than mine. Maybe it is still coming?

Another thing to consider is what is feeding your exchange. We are a closed estate and I think there is two fibre lines running to our MSAN, so it has enough bandwidth to cater for the limited number of subscribers at those speeds.

That's a good point. Our MSAN was installed some time in the first half of 2013 so maybe it doesn't support the required bandwidth. Will just have to wait and see I guess..

The only thing I can think of, if Roux is correct that he is connected to a MSAN, I know I am also connected to a MSAN, is that you are connected to a ISAM, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but when Openserve started to upgrade, the MSAN's were used inland and the ISAM's were used along the coast.

Maybe it's still coming but the only difference right now that I can think of is ISAM vs MSAN.

Check your number here and see what you're connected to:

You are correct, connected to an ISAM. Hopefully the upload bump isn't unique to MSAN's :(

Yeah, guess it comes down to capacity then. My folks on a farm next to Spier are on the Lyndoch ISAM and they have 4mbps max.
