Hi,

I don't know if I'm the only one:

The last few days, I regularly get a "now connection" type error on Vodacom - voice as well as data.

Just had a call, the call ringed, but when I answered, a SIM-card error message appeared.

Is it only me, or is it more widespread?

(Pretoria Wapadrant and Centurion Lyttelton areas mostly)

Might be a network issue. Had a strange fax signal type noise on a few calls received and dialled in the last week or so.

A pre-recorded message when you phone MWeb support today says that there are Vodacom problems in certain parts of the country.

I wish Vodacom would do the same on their 155 number rather than denying that there is anything wrong on their network and that "your settings need to be checked".

Anyone else getting really slow speeds now on HSDPA? My speeds are ok on the Vodacom speed test (1218/218) but international especially seems to be crawling.

Appallingly slow here too using Station Hill tower in Bathurst despite very good signal. Lots of timeouts. Not sure if I can bring myself to go through the whole ordeal again of contacting customer service for something they should already know if they would only get their support staff to monitor this particular thread in the forum.

Same here in Port Elizabeth. Last night was downloading fine at 200KB/s, today getting a max of 2KB/s and time outs although full signal on HSDPA

Getting the same problems here, I'm sure VC must know about it anyway if its all over the country, no point in calling customer service.

Anybody else experiencing problems?

Since Thursday evening, 31 July 2008, my connection has been extremely slow. Initially I though it was the end of month bandwidth usage rush. Nothing has changed since then though. Takes forever to access webpages, local and international. Occasionally I get sudden bursts of speed for like 10 seconds and then 10 minutes of slowness.

This is just pathetic.

Having similar problems here, getting timeouts etc. It was worse this morning, seems to have improved a bit.
