International traffic is incredibly slow this morning, downloads are stalling, web pages partially load.
On PPDB, internet APN, Cape Town.

Same here, getting download speeds of 2KB/s on HSDPA. Also internet APN, PPDB, Grahamstown.

I`m really getting gatvol of vadacom *****ty speeds, getting HSDPA download speeds of 1.1Kb/s im even getting better speeds on my virgin mobile sim.

Been terrible for me since Thursday, 31/07/2008. 4 days now....
Download speed of 60kbits/s. Hooray for "broadband"!! :)

I phoned vodacom call centre, first thing they ask me if there is not a problem with my HSDPA modem the more I`m informing then that this a network problem and not my modem.Even my friend that stays two houses from me is having the same problem , getting download speeds of 1.2Kb/s at the moment.

I've just called 155, I spoke to a very helpful and patient agent who wasn't aware of any international throughput problems. After going through the standard troubleshooting procedure; disconnect and reconnect modem, ipconfig /flushdns, ipconfig /registerdns, restart computer then finding no change, he logged the call and gave me a reference number.

What happened then, were you able to get a reference number for your call?

not to worry i had the same problem, but the vodacom data guy was on another level.Did not want to log the fault as i am the only person:(

I know we had a problem in the coastal areas yesterday with low to no throughput but only for pre-paid.

Does this tie up with what you guys saw?

That's been my problem although its not just yesterday, even now I'm getting bursts of throughput at 50-80kbps on HSDPA and often there'll be no throughput at all.

Hi and welcome back.

Not sure what your exact definition of prepaid is, but I am a data account holder currently using an ad hoc bundle and access has been appalling since Thursday afternoon despite a good HSDPA signal. Timeouts persist and some sites are just not browseable.

I am in the Eastern Cape (Station Hill tower in Bathurst)

I'm on contract in the Boksburg area and the connection has been poor since the beginning of last week. Very unstable, sometimes it's fast and then next thing it's slow or just hangs and you have to keep on trying untill it comes back again.

Nope

No, that is not it. I am on contract. Ever since I moved to my current location (Table View, Cape Town) a year ago my connection has been flawless. But the last week or two I have had endless problems. One moment it works fine, the next it is so slow that most web pages fail to load, broken images, etc.
