UPDATE: 11 November 2015 10:47
The affected fibre cables pass through an informal settlement about 1.5km from Germiston. The cable damage has been caused by a fire in the informal settlement. Telkom engineers are waiting for the fire department to assist with the fire.

The repairs are still in progress at present, Ettr cannot be confirmed at present.:(
