Exactly the same for me but I'm in Port Elizabeth. Seems to come and go though. If I do a speedtest on my 20Mbps VDSL between me and JHB I only get around 4 or 5Mbps.

Double ping and slow international again.
Weird one to diagnose. Talking to ISP just gets run of the mill answers - reboot router, reset port, international speeds can't be guaranteed, etc.

Ping usually averages 21 - 23 ms on speedtests.

Mostly looks fine but the double ping on the myBB speedtest app is usually the first indication of issues and then running tracerts confirm the issue.
Normal speeds don't seem to be affected but can't steam from international sources with and without vpn.

Really a weird one.

On Afrihost - all is working perfectly.

I am again having 5-12% packet loss between Western Cape & Gauteng, both on
a) VOX business fibre in Milnerton
b) VOX fatpipe ADSL in Stellenbosch

Here is a traceroute from a dedicated server at Hetzner in Centurion towards our VOX business fibre in Milnerton:

I have been on a pretty long phone call last night both with VOX consumer support for my ADSL packet loss and then transfered to VOX business support for the VOX business fibre issue.
It is as if their technicians/support staff aren't capable of troubleshooting these issues OR that they know that VOX infrastructure has issues and simply aren't allowed to admit over the phone that they are aware of it!

Like the VOX consumer support reset my ADSL port and told me a *** story that since my ADSL line is with Telkom that I need to report a fault with Telkom, and he simply did not want to accept the fact that the issue is with VOX because I have 0.00% packet loss over both Axxess & WebAfrica on the same line.

Then the VOX business support was able to see packet loss towards our Mikrotik router and I guess that they're testing from Gauteng area since he said the ping was about 22ms.
He was unable to help me further, since I could not switch off both Frogfoot & VOX routers while on the call. I really don't know what additional info he would get from the LED lights or the power cycle of those devices, which I could not do since I was not on site.
His primitive Windows "tracert" command was also not able to show packetloss per hop, unlike the Linux "mtr" or PingPlotter that I'm using - which would have clearly shown that there is an issue further upstream on the VOX network and not at our location.

So yeah, I have pretty much given up on VOX support. I'll maybe try VOX business support once more if I see heavy packet loss again tomorrow while we have someone on site.
If they do not fix this issue soon, I'll have our VOX business fibre replaced with 2x consumer fibre packages that are like 4x faster each and would cost us half the price per month in total!

Double ping, etc, yada yada. Again.

Really wish Vox would sort this out now.

Anyone else battling at the moment?

WTF all my roll over data is gone on my fatpipe account? Just this months 400GB

I hope the guy that got my beloved promo account is loving it as much as I did.

But 100/100 fibre is so next level for me.

Not sure, not gonna try it either, for me on the VDSL 500GB a month was more than enough. Now that I have this :
1559408309786.png

Yeah, no need for that 400GB a month... :giggle:

I was mainly keeping the 400GB for backup to use on my Openserve 200Mbps fibre line. Now they screwed me over.

Dude, Cool Ideas is the most awesome ISP I ever had.

I loved my Vox promo account and it had 1.1TB on it when I gave it away, but nothing compares to this fibre I have now. They even fixed my drive way for free after the first installed had issues with the paving.

It's the upstream provider through the contractors

T&C applies. It roll overs for 6 months after that the Data will expire

Something is up at Vox, my data roll over isn't gone but my speed tops out at 14.5Mbps and my ping is double.

Edit: It's completely offline now.

You can accumulate 6 months roll over. So after 6 months the very first 400GB would expire and the new months 400GB will be added. It's been like that forever unless something changed. So last month I used like 500GB or so and was left with 2.25TB at midnight. New 400GB came and the 2.25TB all expired at once. No something is wrong.

Mine is also gone. Will contact them tomorrow.

Yeah something is up because the whole "roll over" allocation is gone just the 400GB of the new month has been allocated.
