It's not always Vox. So you get 3 IPC locations. CPT, DUR and JHB at Teraco. Depending on ISP they can choose where to buy IPC. The data is still carried by Openserve to the IPC location which the ISP has. Some routes can actually be congested now that fibre is widely available. You could be experiencing something like this. Could also be the MSAN.

If it was the JHB IPC congestion I would see it as well.

6 Times Monthly Cap not 6 Months..

If you didn’t use you’re acc for 6 months you would have 6x200gb which is 1.2TB..

For example my FP acc was sitting on 1.3-1.4 TB before..
 
I also had in excess of 2TB accumulated rollover data, which just went poof. :unsure:
 
Data usage is also not being updated on the website.... 2 days using the account but 0.0MB used...... :unsure:
 
So if my calculations are correct with a 200/100 Mbps Openserve fibre line you can upload a total of ~8.1TB a month just between the midnight and 6am free data time per 30 days. If you only download between those times you would be able to download ~16.3TB in 30 days.

So just for comparison using isat.co.za line only pricing

100Mbps is R599
200Mbps is R829

and a 100GB fatpipe with unlimited after hours data is R79 per month.

So you would be able to push over 10TB of data monthly with a 200Mbps line for just R908 per month. Or just over 8TB data monthly for just R678.

Pretty decent value for money that :):D
 
May I ask - can you please do a speedtest to the saix.net Telkom JHB server and share if you have an elevated ping (in my case it is double)?

Having the issue right now and trying to see if there are other cases.

As some are aware, I have had the issue on and off now for a little while and can't seem to get to the bottom of it. Speaking to the Vox reps and Telkom techs does not help.

Location: 10 mbps copper line, Vaal Triangle

EDIT: local speeds/performance seem unaffected, but international and vpn speeds/performance are terrible.

Yes getting 20ms and 100Mbps but looks like that is the server not Vox.
