Vox Telecom Fatpipe

Does anybody have a clue wtf is going on with with openserve Cape Town, everyone is complaining, something is borked last week +-

If it were an Openserv issue surely it would effect Telkom too but I am still streaming fine on Telkom.

Averaging 2GB a day instead of my normal 6 due to the slow speeds. :(
Swapping to the Afrihost back-up isn't much better.

I started having issues on Saturday. I dunno if anyone has contact support, but I did this morning. This is the response I got.
"Please be advised that we are aware of the browsing and speed issues in the cape town area. Our engineers has identified a potential root cause and are working on a resolution."
No ETR according to the support agent.

Thanks for the update, at least they are now acknowledging the problem.

I was supposedly given a reference number for call-back from them on Saturday, might be that they'll only call today as I haven't received any messages/notifications yet.

Nothing on their site or FB though

My download speed dropped to 1.5Mbps from 9.8 last night. Did port recreate, the works. It's dead.

Just checking in; was able to stream and play an MMO (FFXIV) without being disconnected every minute or so yesterday. Things appear to be back to normal for me. How're things for everyone else?

Everything's more stable and higher than the 300KB/s, still not getting my full speed though, getting 15-20Mbps at most.

The Vox support told me to change my MTU on my router - it seemed to have solved the issue ( i am in Hout Bay )

Well that fix didn't last long.
6PM on a Saturday and streaming is impossible and downloads at no more than 10% of line speed.
Back to the Telkom Backup account.
Maybe it is finally time to stop paying VOX.
I now spend more time on the backup account than I do the VOX account so any payment is throwing good money after bad.
