Poor download speeds will make want your 4mbps adsl back!

Rain's network performance in Rustenburg has definitely seen a drop in speeds.

My Rain mobile went from comfortable 35mbps up/down to a measly 3-4mbps down and .25-1mbps up over the last 2 weeks.

Our fixed rain lte is also down with Steam peaking at 220KB/s where it was usually 4-6MB/s

(Steam reaching 700KB/s, Jul 15 2018)

I am disappointed.

(Its not nice having a decent internet connection for the first time in forever only for it to start slowing down)

If youre in Randurg get Rain though, went to my friend and streamed 4K all the time (95 down, 80 up, 17 ping on average)

But stay away if you live in Rustenburg

Dont forget to thank RAIN too for their agreement to prioritise Vodacom's clients experience at your expense.

Nothing but bliss from Rain so far. Epic thread fail. OP just because you get bad speeds does not give you the right to tell the whole country not to get Rain.

Exceptionally poor download speeds will make want your 4mbps adsl back!

Rain's network in Rustenburg is just a total sh*tshow at the moment.

My Rain mobile went from comfortable 35mbps up/down to a measly 3-4mbps down and .25-1mbps up over the last 2 weeks.

Our fixed rain lte is also down the drain with Steam peaking at 220KB/s where it was usually 4-6MB/s

I am truly disappointed.

Your brush is very thick there son.

Maybe consider that your problem might be isolated...

I am 800m from the transmitter. Have an outside antenna. Fastest I have seen is 19mbps. Usually between 2 and 7 mbps. ISP (Buzybuy) ignores complaints

I have sent an email to the rain team, waiting for reply, but when my speeds went from 30+ mbps to less than my adsl in less than 2 weeks i was pretty upset.

You realise you going to have to get a mod to change the original thread title.

You'll soon realise that we don't appreciate clickbait, and will ridicule posters that post BS. ;)

I was joking jees;) and its not BS, Rain speeds really went down where I live in Rustenburg.

I don't have a problem with your frustration. Just the title of the thread seems a bit harsh.
