My daily DL+ stats for last night:


00:00 - 01:00 178 740 172 bytes 170.46 MB
01:00 - 02:00 726 383 451 bytes 692.73 MB
02:00 - 03:00 692 012 456 bytes 659.95 MB
03:00 - 04:00 1 205 937 531 bytes 1.12 GB
04:00 - 05:00 1 484 279 715 bytes 1.38 GB
05:00 - 06:00 2 763 077 539 bytes 2.57 GB

A definite trend occurring between midnight and 1am.

Had a look at mine and noticed the same thing. everyday between midnight and 1am its less than 1/4 of what I get between 1am and 2.

Also I'm on a 1mb line, so my max is about 360MB a hour. Notice on most nites a 700+ MB in 1 hour, so not a lot of faith in their monitoring software

Worst thing is when they pop this 700mb bomb after 6am and it becomes part of your 7 day rolling period.

Since the 1st I've used a total of 6.68GB in freezone, I've never hit my limit, just wondering if it would be possible to maybe get a more gamer orientated uncapped package in the future? Like better pings but lower limits?

6 Hour Usage: 0.20 GB
7 Day Usage: 3.00GB

Home Uncapped Gamer Edition? :)
 
We're aware of the issues with slow/ intermittent browsing and higher than normal latencies. Not sure if our network guys went home last night... but I can promise you that we're looking at it and giving it everything we got to get this sorted out.

Hopefully we'll see an improvement today or this weekend.

Not sure exactly what you are trying to say with that? I'm sure we all in our working career had to do working late and through to get a job done. However do you guys plan some sort of compensation or customer loyalty appreciation? Your affected clients is really sticking it up and out with you guys through thick and thin so far.

That's a bit worrying to say the least. Only other ISP that had their clients affected like this was Afrihost and their shaping being applied to both capped and uncapped. Maybe WA used the same system...

Thank you! I could not agree more. In fact - as a capped user - I think we are treated worse than uncapped. Other ISP's give their capped users some benefits. WA capped and uncapped are on the lowest priority level and - from my unscientific observations - I think capped sometimes are worse off than capped

Maybe one day this will get sorted
 
Frequent lagspikes tonight and it's not even midnight. Been going on all day.

Seems Mweb have the same problem (getting lag spikes along with other players in-game).

I assume this is an issue with the international link?

Afrihost is fine, which, quite unsurprisingly, I've switched over to :/

I doubt it. Will see if TOR is plagued and report back.

getting 243-260 with here and there spikes that results in 312ms.

Is Webafrica's billing open over the weekends or only normal technical support ?
 
Anyone else still having issues with Web Africa Uncapped. Its been super slow the whole day. I've tried everything. Router restart, telkom support etc etc. Getting horrible latency and DL speeds.

Here is the speedtest and tracert to www.google.co.za:

As you can see the speeds are horrible considering i have a 4meg uncapped line and account. It been going on like this the whole week.

Well, not fixed yet because it's happening again now. This problem only started for us capped users when the uncapped were brought online. I have used about 6GB of Afrihost traffic this month so far and we are not even half way through. Latency is in the bucket.
 
anybody playing lol ?

my game seems to buffer, etc really bad atm, ping is fine.

edit: afrihost it works 100%

Another night, come midnight, constant lagspikes. Just had another whopper.

What a waste...

The entire day not a SINGLE spike until now.

Edit: You know, at least last month this time the problem was (temporarily) fixed.

Just saw that I received a response to my ticket a while ago asking me for a screenshot of the latency and an international tracert. I think my jaw just dropped.

How many tracerts and screenshots do you need? I've taken and done dozens by now, including a video :mad:

I think this is the part where I stop bothering with tickets. Clearly they're not getting me anywhere.

At least Afrihost is getting something out it.

Same here yesterday, 1000+ pings. internet was useless. But all seems good again today :D
