Last night when I was downloading from steam, (and i checked IP , was from WA) i was still throttled .Is that a bug?

And at 10pm should I still be getting 50% op my line speed from NNTP /STEAM etc? Edit: I know if network is busy , yes slower speed. But how do I know at 10pm if network is 0% usage, and I still get 50% speed?

Anything else that you tested? Or did you just notice Gmail being an issue?
You manage to get a tracert at all?

There are no reported issues on our end, all services should be functioning as per normal.
 
My account has been terrible today. I have the 1mb Uncapped and it took about 10 minutes to download an 8 Meg update on Xbox LIVE. If I want to connect to EA origin on PC I have to restart the modem and then immediately start up origin for it to work. I reached my 7 day threshold but not my 6 hour threshold.

The past couple of days everything was working normally but today it's just bad. I even tried playing on the WA Cod4 servers and it said connection interrupted all the time. Gmail and Browsing were also very bad today.

Jeff, you need my client code?
 
Gmail is fine for me now, but HTTPS locally is suffering (FNB/Discovery/Capitec)
 
Speed is craptastic. Can't even connect to newsdeamon. And I'm still under my 6 hour threshold

Eish.. it continues. Haven't downloaded anything. So tried now again. Can't get more than 30 Kbs on news server. First month after I upgraded to 1 Meg from 384, I'm getting slower speed than 384.

Please tell me I didn't waste R290
 
I ran tests just now, couldnt test league of legends or wow but no problems anywhere (I dont use local news servers). I had a support ticket logged for poor performance and sent my results to them.

4mbit uncapped.
 
This is crazy. Still can't even connect to international nntp.

Edit: Ug.. logged a ticket. Not to moan and b!tch.. but I'm not happy camper. ..I'm seriously not in the mood to be a tester/bug logger.

Just swapped to my backup Telkom acc. It's flying.

WA this isn't good .
 
Over the years, I've become accustomed to WebAfrica's fast and reliable service. I assumed that their uncapped product would be of the same quality, and made the switch. For the past few weeks it's been smooth sailing - until today, when I had the audacity to exceed my six-hour limit. Now it takes 31 HOURS to download a 500MB file off iTunes! So much for the reassuring comments that shaping wouldn't be that hectic, and that it will only apply if the network is under strain (the network seems fine, according to their website).

So, for any potential customers out there: if you're not planning on exceeding your 6-hour or 7-day limits (which is basically the same as being capped, anyway), go for it! If you plan on downloading any large files, STAY AWAY!

I'm moving my line back to Telkom tomorrow. Good riddance, WA.

I'm not even OVER my damm limit, and I can't connect.. can't download from my int sites. I had to use my backup account.

But I already paid .. but if this doesn't get better then WA is dead to me.

Yeeah... I'm experiencing the same ****.

Twitch.tv and youtube don't want to go at more than 60KBps, however when I have 5 youtube videos streaming simultaneously it gets 300KBps. I'm not throttled.

Edit: Seems to be working again, but damn this is seriously stressful. Would be nice if it could just work. :-)

Nope.. newsdeamon is still dead for me (ND is fine on the Telkom acc). I'm not close to my limit.
 
WebAfrika has had this problem with https for ages now. It is VERY slow AGAIN today. Come on WebAfrika, acknowledge that your techs are not getting these issues right !

HTTPS is supposed to be priority bandwidth ...
 
I finally got my line upgraded to 1Mbps. Today streaming youtube was flawless. I was so happy.

Tonight is a different story. My downloads from rapidshare cant connect. On mediafire there is major fluctuations from 41KB to 100KB.
Its 23:00 so it shouldnt be throttled.

I have not hit either of the 2 thresholds. I have a feeling the network is under pressure. But even so, I'm a bit disappointed.

I tend to think if u breach your 7 day threshold, you will be throttled even if your 6 hr window has not been reached. If you hit either of the thresholds then you will be throttled until its rolled over to the next day & your 7 day threshold falls below the limit.

Just let WAJeff know, I have logged a ticket to support notifying them of my problem.
