Firefox FTW, because its the only one that takes privacy seriously.

Also the only one where I can totally controle what is downloaded vs what it hides in the background. Chrome still downloads ads for example, it just hides them, Firefox completely ignore adds and scripts of my choosing.

For the opera users, remember the golden rule? If its free and not Open source, you are the product, NOT the customer. At least we know what Chrome is selling.

Im supprised Internet Explorer is top in SA.

I have all FF, IE, Safari, and GC installed, I prefer Firefox over these.

Mostly restrictions at work and lack of support by companies like SARS, Standard bank etc.

Opera truly rocks and always has. It's one of the online world's best-kept secrets, it seems. Opera's only drawback is that some internet banking sites and similar will not work with it, necessitating keeping a backup browser like FF or IE.

I've never had a liking to Firefox. It is OK. I sometimes use it for its plugins when downloading Youtube videos to hard drive, but that is the only thing I use it for.

Internet Explorer will be the most used browser in SA still for years to come... mostly due to large companies forcing their employees to use IE and IT policies prevents them from installing other browsers.

I tried Opera a couple of years back and I liked it... however, it had compatibility issues with a bunch of websites where the pages are not rendered properly or sometimes at all.

Chrome is still my favourite... Simpler, better, faster... like an old Standard Bank TV advert.
I must say, IE9 has been a 200% improvement over the previous version and I suppose IE10 would be even better so I would consider using IE sometimes as well.

This has improved greatly in recent years as websites have become more standards compliant.
