Evening, apologies for the delayed response here. This is very weird, both your IP and the lg IP are advertised under the same subnet, making them the same for effective routing. We've made some small advertisement changes here. Most of these services sit behind the same ASN; so we guess it's one brand masquerading as many (common in the space), with different service offerings, features and prices to prevent brand dilution.

Fortnite is hosted on AWS’s network and we have no control over this routing. The moment we hand over (and pick up from) to AWS’s network in JHB, it’s in their hands, this is the same for all networks that peer with AWS in JHB - it could be one of AWS’s paths (east coast) is down.

Apologies, we're performing some minor maintenance on one of the JHB BNGs which involves moving traffic to an alternate path. Unfortunately the secondary BGP session flapped momentarily on both attempts. We've rolled back changes while we investigate and issue a fix.

Seems like some sort of load-balancer or ECMP algorithm on the server side. Forward routes also seem to alternate at hop 11 which confirm there's something odd going on here. Been able to replicate these results across different IPs within a single /24 (the smallest IP range we can advertise; effectively, the world will always reach all the IPs in a /24 with the same path, so in theory, two IPs in the same subnet will have the same latency). But if they're load balancing and multipathing, connection based path selection might be at play.

We’re waiting for feedback from AEX here. In the meanwhile, the accelerator is back online to assist.

Hi @websquadza moving to a new place and just ordered Openserve fibre with you, Sadly I am unable to get the B number out of the previous tenants. Is there nothing that Openserve can do on their side to figure out the B number from the ONT? I'd rather not be without fibre for weeks

Drop our support desk a mail. They’ll spin up a test account and we should be able to pick up the b number on the session once it’s up. That’s if the ONT is still active and in the holding pool. Alternatively, drop me a PM with your details and I’ll get the team to call you.
