You shouldn’t have a problem. Plug in the new router. Reboot the CPE. DHCP should assign an IP to your router. We’re still waiting to find out if there are any changes to the system given the issues load shedding presented this week.
If it doesn’t come up, drop [email protected] an email and they’ll release the DHCP/MAC binding manually.

No need for any authentication.

Morning. We’ve received confirmation that both our routes from JHB to DBN were affected. We’re still awaiting for incident reports from our route providers. Once we have these we’ll share more information and also assess a way to avoid this happening in the future. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Weird. What router are you using? Drop me a PM if you’re available now, will run a monitor and you can test. Would be interesting to see what happens to your traffic.

No rush, I'll try the other router first when I'm not so lazy.

Hi all,

I'd just like to chime in here - I wrote the post comparing the various ISPs around (https://mybroadband.co.za/forum/threads/comparing-isp-networks.935459/) and recently got to take a tour of Teraco JHB with Carl from Web Squad (@websquadza)

They are a super passionate and competent bunch, lead by great leaders and have some interesting things in the pipeline. Having personally spoken to Carl and learning about their network infrastructure and having seen it with my own eyes, I really do think they are a great choice. I will be moving to them at the end of the month from CISP and will be doing a full review & updated post with my findings including some additional information about their specific network and why it is (in my opinion) better than the rest.
