Sorry, your service change is still somewhere in the Vumatel ether. We've just sent our SDM an update with the last few straddlers. Will keep following up.Clearly![]()
@websquadza - any issues known about with Octotel? Apart from the regular ones, flapped a bunch of times here, Octotel, Southern Suburbs, CPT. Red light on ONT when it goes down so looks like Octotel to me.
Which NNTP? Eweka was hitting 70MB+ for me 2 nights ago. Setup on 30 connections.

Would you mind running a traceroute to the eweka news server for me?

@websquadza I cancelled my MTS connection and ordered with WS.
MTS have confirmed that MTS has released the line, VUMA have also confirmed the same.
I have been offline for 37 hours now and unable to work properly, as almost no mobile signal to even try use LTE, scratch that 3G.
PLEASE can you have a look into this.
Ref: VC-1721-711242
There are comments being made that VUMA has an issue on their activations portal, but not much noise being made about that.
I have colleagues reporting activations issue with WS, but on Frogfoot.
Is the not a WS issue ??
Thank you @websquadzaHi there. I’ve looked into your issue already and had a chat to our service delivery manager this morning. The issue is on Vumatel’s side and our team are keeping you appraised. We are following up constantly - trust me. Plenty of noise has been made about it. We have a number of activations outstanding on Vumatel’s side and their dev team are looking into this.
The only Frogfoot issue I’m aware of today is an isolated one where the premise doesn’t match up with the address and is also being managed by our team and Frogfoot.

But it seems my international download is borked, for some odd reason I get better download speeds through my iPhone than I do on my wired Mac Mini lol. Can you explain that? lol

You'll have to excuse me, but I'm a complete retard when it comes to ISP/Networking and pretty much most PC related things. I own a Mac with a gig fibre line, that's all I knowOooooh ooooooooh , I know this one

Not that easy, if something your side is causing TCP retransmits, your speed will be inversely proportional to the distance (latency). Basically, the higher the latency, the lower your speed. TCP always performs slower with higher latency, that's expected. Add packet loss or retransmits, and you...mybroadband.co.za
