I'm on the Webafrica Telkom 40g anytime + 40g night surfer data.

I been using and downloading during the night surfer period 00:00 - 07:00am with the intention of utilizing my 40g night surfer data instead of my anytime data. But the data I been using has been deducted from my 40g anytime data...

Phoned Webafrica and the consultant says that the switch over does not happen automatically and that I must physically restart my router and re insert my sim at 12 at night everytime to ensure that the data is taken off the night surfer data instead of the anytime data...

Right now I'm sitting dataless because the data I used to download has been taken out of my anytime data instead of the night surfer data... is anyone else experiencing this or had the same issue with Webafrica?

@NereshM: Maybe you should consider one of the Afrihost/MTN Pure LTE packages. They start at R199 for 30GB+30GB and you shouldn't have any problems with night data being deducted from anytime data. You could purchase the 30+30GB package for R199 together with a 25GB topup for R150. If you manage things properly you can split the topup over two months to get 42.5GB+30GB for ~R275.

Afrihost provideds very accurate hourly consumption data via the CustomerZone so you should be able to manage your usage much more effectively and you will probably get better speeds on this service than on Telkom.

Afrihost appears to manage these Fixed LTE services much better than the other ISPs where there are many complaints about missing data or long delays and frustration to get topups loaded etc. I have been using the Pure LTE service for 6 months and have loaded topups regularly without any complications.

Escalate the issue.
It's not logical. The representative is talking out of his ass.
Ask for a supervisor if they spin the same sht.

Simple. Move to another company.
So for every issue a company you have services with, you decide to move to another?

So mybroadband.co.za is offline due to anything and you decide to join another forum?

Your power goes off. You decide to live in a caravan park?

Etc.

That's not a solution to anything.

Thank you, will definitely look into that.

... something not sounding right there at Webafrica...

True... that is not a proper solution... if I and other members of the public have been done wrong by Webafrica then its needs to be rectified and people need to be given the service they paid and signed up for..

Only solution in this case and it does work.

Do you really believe that this is ever going to happen. Dream on, but I hope that something positive comes from this"fraud".

I must add, I'm on a Webafrica 20 Mb package via frogfoot (Parklands Cape Town), and I find their service and response utterly pathetic! You would think the fact they HAVE an option to log a ticket is there for a specific reason and that people actually monitor that service, and respond timeously, or with a proper answer.. 3 days, and I still don't have an answer to my frikkin ticket.

Im ready to Move to another SP tomorrow if there WAS one in our area.
