Hi Everyone

I would like to know if anyone has been noticing issues on PHP sites hosted on the Windows package with WebAfrica?

We do support for a couple of companies that have their domains hosted at WebAfrica and these pages are mostly "static" PHP 5 pagers.

The website can be down for a long time without coming back up, then we need to contact WA and they move the page to a higher application pool, give us the BS answers of "Our Windows packages run both PHP and ASP so the PHP resources are limited" or re-create some config file that mysteriously went missing.

I am contemplating moving these domains but as always Emails are a issue.

why not move the sites to the cpanel packages on webafrica..? your php stuff will run much smoother and there is no application pool resource contention to deal with.. moving emails is no big problem.. you add the email as imap accounts from both the old and new servers to an email client and then copy the mail from the old to the new account in the mail client..

Like WAslayer said too, cPanel it is a lot faster. You are able to manage backups and restores easier as well.
