No known issue reported on this side guys.
Have you given our DSL departmet a shout to see if there is perhaps an isolated issue or congested exchange?
Morning everyone.
@Fulton: Has anything improved as of this morning?
Couldn't stream last night. Fine tonight.
If it's a exchange issue, how do I test for that?
I believe your line is noisy biometrics
Ronald will be in contact with you a bit later, looks like he'll be having a look into things for you from here.
Once again. Can't stream a 100 Kbps audio stream.
I got some further details from our DSL guys this morning, I hear it's been passed onto yourself too. The reason streaming isn't 100% all the time seems to be related to an over-utilised DSLAM and will need to await a Telkom fix.
Nope, haven't received anything. Is this something you guys report to Telkom or must I do it? Is there some report I can submit to them?
From what I've been told, it should be in your voicemail
We usually do log faults on your behalf, however in this case unfortunately cannot as your line is not with us - but rather with Telkom.
No, there is no voice mail.
I still need to give the Telkom rep something when I go to the branch. Can you give me a report?
As mentioned, unfortunately you'll need to log a fault with Telkom themselves. You can mention that your DSLAM is over-utilised and will need to be upgraded.
Jeff, I'm afraid your analysis is not correct. I'm trying to stream a twit episode now (http://dts.podtrac.com/redirect.mp4.../twit/twit0307/twit0307_h264b_640x368_256.mp4) and it buffers. Switching to downloading it with a download manager (10 threads) and it's coming over at 2 Mbps.
So a "over-utilised DSLAM" is not the case. Any other ideas?
