Weight Loss/ Gain thread Dec 2014 - 2015

How is Saturated Fats healthy? Animal fats are the primary source for saturated fats.

Trans and saturated fats = bad
Monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats = good

Omega 3 fatty acids = good

Tim Jokes = Bad and being bad is for woman.

+1
You will still need some carbs though, just a low amount. (E.g. Vegetables)

Exactly! And why is that? It's because your bodies preferred energy source is carbs not fats.
Kids prefer sweets to veggies. Does that make them good for them?

When we do transformations we shed about 20kg of fat in 85 days whilst packing on 5-6kg lean muscle mass.

So yes in my books 15kg over 12 months is bleh.

Hence why I said my definition and his definition of "results" differs.

I call bull on this - a 4kg drop per week and gaining muscle - not possible unless you're on roids

Don't take my word for it! Do it yourself DTP is the name of the name of the game

And trust me. It works

Thanks for this, i'd like to start bulking up from Feb-March, for this month, im just focusing on Cardio and trimming down on fat on my stomach. So ill spend entire session on the Treadmill, Cycling etc.

I would just like to get my fitness up, and eat the correct food.

When i start with weights in Feb-March, im going to need to look at a different diet.

No im not looking at the supplements, i meant the recipes specifically, i was not really sure what meals to start eating to in order for me to start picking up weight to build to muscle.

And i dont just want to eat anything, (as some guy was telling me, eat what ever you want and gym hard - i dont think that's a good idea) to make fat and build that to muscle.

I dont plan on taking supplements, not now that is, or not anytime soon. I'm not planning on bulking for body building, i just would like to increase mass on certain areas.

Please tell me you are not following something to do with that mr Noakes oak.

Carbs are your bodies preferred energy source. (Healthy Carbs) Tim Noaks = Devil

If you want to follow the low carb route.

Go with the Atkins lifestyle. That works.
