I would LOVE a sample. I'd return the favour, as I mentioned. There's not much that I have, but I have a tiny bit of Dalwhinnie 15YO and also a tiny bit of Blanton's Gold left if that's something they'd be willing to trade for...
Like I said, I've never tasted it. I heard some people calling it very "medicinal" which I'm not THE biggest fan of, but I guess it'll depend on how it balances with the rest of the flavours. That's the big reason I haven't dumped any money into it.
Usually not in a proper dram, no. Ice both dilutes (too much) and also chills the whisky, hiding a lot of flavours. Some whiskies are nice with ice, but most of your "nicer" ones are enjoyed best without it. Allows you to experience the full boquet of flavours.@dualmeister @MegaTesla No ice?
