My Three Ships 12 year old arrived

At my daughters place in Glasgow

TAKEALOT has some nice specials on now. Maker's Mark for R309, and Knob Creek for R399. Those are not bad prices. I know what I'm getting people for Christmas this year.

As a PS: I've found my new guilty pleasure. 3 or 4 ice cubes in a whisky glass (a tumbler, not a snifter/tasting/nosing glass) and enough Maker's 46 to almost cover the cubes. Let it sit for a minute or two (until condensation starts to build on the glass) and enjoy. Goodness me it's a good drink!

I've never been much of a bourbon man (although I bought a bottle of Buffalo Trace on a whim yesterday), but that is exactly how I used to enjoy a Jack Daniels. I love how the drink changes as the ice melts and the last bit is still nice even though it's mostly water.

Just got my Three Ships 10 year old with the glasses and tour tickets. No tour tickets in the box anywhere :(

Have sent them a message, hopefully they will sort me out.

Who are they?

I should add, great to get more of these glasses that I received with a previous Three Ships 10 gift box. They have lately become my glass of choice lately, pushing the Bruichladdich ones into second place.

Yeah I used to drink a bit of bourbon a long time ago, and then bought the bourbon restock pack to "get in it" again. I have been sipping slowly on the Maker's Mark and the Maker's 46 but it's not my favourite as a neat sipper. So this weekend I decided to Jack Daniels the crap out of it and found I enjoyed it quite a bit. Now I'm glad, because I don't want to end up with bourbons I don't drink.

Use it to make an "Old Fashioned" cocktail....you'll be out of Bourbon in no time. It's addictive....and delicious.

Riedel Fire, you can thank me later :D :D. Also work lovely for Bourbons.

@dualmeister P&P liquor in Pinehurst had a couple of boxes of Three ships 10 reduced to clear but cant remember the price now.

It looked like the box with the glasses.
