Windows 7 Beta Available tomorrow

This from Microsoft's official blog:

"Due to very heavy traffic we’re seeing as a result of interest in the Windows 7 Beta, we are adding some additional infrastructure support to the Microsoft.com properties before we post the public beta. We want to ensure customers have the best possible experience when downloading the beta, and I’ll be posting here again soon once the beta goes live. Stay tuned! We are excited that you are excited!"

So I should stop hoping for miracles and just go to bed now.

I wonder if anyone in Jo'burg would be able to provide the iso on a dvd if I get my own key???

OK, I got my key using this method...
Here's the steps for a key:
Visit TechNet Downloads, sign in at the top right and let the page load
Within the same window copy and paste "https://www.microsoft.com/betaexperience/scripts/gcs.aspx?Product=tn-win7-64-ww&LCID=1033" into the address bar or "https://www.microsoft.com/betaexperience/scripts/gcs.aspx?Product=tn-win7-32-ww&LCID=1033" (64bit key but will work on 32 too, if you get an error refresh a few times)...enjoy the result below (32 bit link seems to work better), whilst stocks last. If you are still having issues try clearing your temp files and deleting all cookies.

Keys for what?

I have the beta downloaded... but do I need some kind of key to install it?

NVM... got it... dunno why we need an activation key for Beta Software.

awesome... fanks aqualung.. i has the keys now... downloading both 64bit and 32bit versions.

2.5 million

I wonder.

Did a refresh on they keys page quite a few times (20+) and it kept on generating one of about 5 different keys. Both for 32-bit and 64-bit.

So I suspect they might give the same keys out but maybe will limit it to 2M5 registrations.

From wikipedia:

The public download was supposed to be limited to 2.5 million users but it has now been confirmed that there are only 5 product keys for each version making them unlimited for the beta version.

I have all 5 after refreshing a couple of times. Would it break forum rules to post them here?

Yes it would.. so don't do it.

We'll be able to find the keys ourselves.
