Wireless Card problems

Aloha.

I have installed Ubuntu 16.04 onto my Asus X555L laptop.
I initially managed to install the missing driver, MT7630E. and it worked. But following an update no wifi option appears.

I have gotten so turned around that I don't know what I am doing anymore.

Can anyone (especially someone in PE help me? I am prepared to take it to someone and pay, it's that bad...

Is this the driver you are using: https://github.com/neurobin/MT7630E? If so, did you try following the instructions to uninstall & reinstall after a kernal update (https://github.com/neurobin/MT7630E#troubleshooting-when-upgrading-kernel)?
