Yebo 4 Less

I think it's auto enabled? This morning my phone has this "Y4L 55%" scrolling on it (usually it says the towers name/location).

the MTN thing was very popular to a point where it looks like vodacom had to do something about it.

But i make phone calls when I need to make phone calls not going to wait for call rates to go to 99% discount before making a call.

Rates are getting complicated but it does seem competition is bringing cost benefits to customers.

That is always a good thing.

i presume this does not ,as in mtn's case, apply to all customers.

I totally agree about competition. This is some more inline with markets with many companies. With the saving does it work out at times cheap enough to comp convienence and mobility to fixed line rate at that time? its still 55% of per min rate on minimum

Is it just me or is our cellular phone call charging standards starting to look like a D&D rulebook?

It is NOT auto. Y4L is a tariff plan like 4U. *111# option 7 to change. Else i think normal voda tariff plan u on, apply. Now heres a question 4 vodacom rep. Description says savings apply acc to traffic of base station and or network. Then why oh why does it very that frequently from 55% to 99% with it one minute? at a fixed location . Dont know if its the same base station and/Or cell as that info is now replaced with savings string (tho with analyses tools on a symbian phone this can be deduced). Me suspects its part random. I must check if interval between update is periodic

Quick Question:
How do you know the person you are calling is on Vodacom?

Both Vodacom and MTN are in a way kinda giving their contract customers a raw deal by not allowing them to make use of the same discounts - or something similar. Contract customers should be given the same if not more benefits then pre-paid customers in my opinion.

I hope our Vodacom/MTN representatives on this forum can shed some light as to why this is the case.

I am in the process of canceling my contract - contracts are generally beneficial only to the company.

how do you do it on the htc p3300. i enabled the service set chanel 50. now iget a sms type notification every 5 seconds. how do i set it just to see the info on the desktop

Channel 50? That's what I need to know for my PPC.

PS: same problem here, every 10 seconds a cell info display to tell me the discount rates, which changes all the time, I thought it's fixed for an hour?

:D it will drive you crazy. there must be a way to get the info just to display with the vodacom name. btw i do not have the vodacom name displayed on the desktop how do you do that

I know I know, you should have your network name (Vodacom) displayed on your desktop but not the cellular tower I think you are refering to like the Nokias, those are cell info and I don't think our PPC supports that.
No more cell broadcast boming suddently.....Very quiet....

But if you don't have the Network Operator displayed on your desktop, go to settings, personal, today and select wireless from the items section.
