"Dynamic Native Inventory" is on the roadmap so I guess so.

I've tested the glpi agent version 1.4 and it does a good job of importing the inventory.

Great. I have two instances on version GLPI 9 that I am planning to upgrade shortly. One (the earlier iteration) uses OCS and the other FusionInventory. I still really like OCS but the FusionInventory version is better integrated and has worked out nicely. I'm looking forward to taking the native inventory for a spin.

Ghost if you're into blogging / publishing / writing.
Agree. Ghost is already on the list but it's good have your +1.

I'm starting to think about a website with an open source software directory, blog and maybe a forum and which CMS (or static site generator) I'd like to use for such a beast. There are so many great options out there I don't want to just default to Wordpress, even though it's an obvious option.

I have updated the Backup Software category to Backup Software and Disk Imaging/Cloning an added in some of the usual suspects.

There have always been quite good open source file level backup programs but I'm not aware of anything that really competes with the commercial offerings for centrally managed, image level backups of servers and VM's and proper bare metal restore. Unfortunately, it is one of those areas where open source lags the commercial offerings.
