I just noticed that adding these brings the list to exactly 1000 entries - a milestone!
Nice!I just noticed that adding these brings the list to exactly 1000 entries - a milestone!
What are your favourite Free/Libre/Open Source applications or projects? Reply below and I will add anything I deem worthy to this post for quick reference (until I get bored, die or find someone better to do it)
EDIT 27/12/2022 - The list has moved to a new website available HERE
Additions to the list going forward will ne added to the new site and the Github Gist will be deprecated. The original list will remain available at A Useful List of Free/Libre/Open Source Software Projects
Thank you everyone for your suggestions. Please keep them coming![]()
Apologies if this has been mentioned.

Thanks for the suggestion but unless I'm missing something, this is a VPN service rather than Open Source Software in which case it isn't really what we're after here.Apologies if this has been mentioned.

Thanks. I've added these.
Added. Thank you.
Thank you. Changes deployed to production.
Thanks. DynFi looks interesting - OPNSense fork. DynFi manager can centrally manage multiple pfSense, OPNSense and DynFi firewalls. Might take this for a spin in the lab!
Uploaded. Thank you.
Yes, the firewall only unfortunately.Uploaded. Thank you.
A little disappointed to see the Dynfi controller is not open source - the firewall is but not the controller. Would like to see an open source version of a project like that.
Thanks. I've uploaded these but I excluded Hyperogue as it looks like you have to pay for source and I couldn't find the license details so not sure if it counts as FLOSS.
