Zaps Online sucks

So I ordered some stuff from them last week, was told it would arrive yesterday. I phoned today and was told that some noob processed my payment but didn't process the order. Like WTF? The dude I spoke to, Chris, told me he could either give me a refund, or do the order.

I told him I'll take my business to Prophecy thanks. Didn't even apologize or offer to ship the stuff overnight. I needed the items before the 13th for a rig compo over on Prophecy but ya.

First and last time I use Zaps.

A good online site is http://www.sybatric.co.za, i also purchase from them and have never had any problems...
 
I've never had anything but good service from Zaps. They will always bend over backwards to try and help you. On the other hand, I've had endless hassles with both Prophecy and Sybaritic. Comme ci, comme ça.

lol i've had a we will call you back and prophecy never did, so they suck imho, but digitalsaonline i suppose is worst as they took my money but didn't had stock of the item and i had to pay them a fee to get it back...

...zaps on the other hand always just did it better and better each time.

I'm so sorry to hear about your bad experience shopping with us K its defiantly not the sort of service that I like to hear about from my company.

I do not have the full details of your order at hand but I will defiantly be looking into this first thing.

As Chris has explained to you we have had to employ a new staff member who has been with us for about a month and I will defiantly be keeping a closer eye on him from now on.I'm a little surprised at your comments about Chris himself but again I will be speaking to him about this first thing.

Please accept my sincere apologies for any disappointment and inconvenience that we have caused.

A few people have bad experiences and then make a big booha about it. Some times things go wrong, nobodies perfect.

You never hear about the other 99% of happy people.

It's ok to complain but those reading these threads should be objective and realise the above.
 
Have to agree. So 1 or 2 people have a bad experience and come here to try and give them a bad name. I've had bad experiences from places, yet I don't go try to ruin their reputations about it like some of the people here. It's a bit childish to be honest.

I still believe people have no right to complain publicly unless they've actually complimented places publicly beforehand (because everyone always jumps to complain but never rewards good service either). Nobody ever cares to recommend or commend good service, but as soon as there's a small hiccup, they flame and try to mess up a companies name.

I've had nothing but great service from ZAPS, Kalahari, Take2 and a bunch others. Prophecy I've had 2 negative experiences out of 2 orders but that's one complaint so they don't deserve a bad name for it.

If everyone had this negative attitude we'd be nowhere

Sure so you backed up sybaritic with 2 small comments. Point is, you went out of your way here to bad mouth ZAPS, have you ever went out of your way to commend good service?

Probably not, no. However I know ZAPS has a rep on here, which is why I decided to come here and bad mouth them and see how they would handle the situation.
 
My experience with Zaps has been nothing but excellent. I have order plenty of items from them and have never had a problem.Personally I found them to actually have really good service delivery compared to other SA companies and FAR better prices.

Obviously you experienced an anomaly and the person you will be disadvantaging the most, by not buying from them, is yourself.

I like ZAPS.

Im also fond of Syberatic as i orderd a new SSD Pata harddrive with them now and this particular harddrive is for a dell netbook and is as rare as a four leaf clover in SA.
Plus i got an email from them today informing me that Sybaritic has been nominated for a 2010 South African E-Commerce Award.

I suppose it only take one bad incident to sway me the other way.
 
I've been saying this every single time Zaps sucks. Prophecy and Digitalsaonline are my 2 online shops of choice if I can't buy the item from one of the wholesale dealers like Frontosa or Esquire.
I'm also not a fan of Sybaritic. I think their website is really ugly and they are slow to respond.
 
Kuga - We have checked with our suppliers and they do have stock of your items and we should be receiving them this afternoon if they arrive by us before 3 we will dispatch with the couriers and they should be with you tomorrow - If however they arrive after 3 they will be dispatched first thing tomorrow morning and should be with you on Monday.

Chris should have been in contact with you already explaining all of this and please do feel free to contact me directly [email protected]
 
OP is a really f**ked up idiot. He only did 1 order and already complaints. Just sort out with ZAPS I'm sure they are good. Nobody's perfect.

That's one huge generalisation. Some people do commend good service, k? I guess you have never seen or read the Praise Wall threads or others that do pop up.
 
I've ordered a few game cards for WoW and also a KB + Mouse set from them. My game cards are usually emailed to me within 2 hours of payment and my KB took 1 week, cant complain about their service from my side, always had good contact with them and speedy replies
