iPhone 4 launched in SA on Tuesday night

still no price from either network?

the 3GS arnt to badly priced....going from R438 now.

Price price price???
Apple is confident in giving the public prices of new products when unavailing them to the world - and guess what - they still sell!!
Vodacom and MTN are too scared to show us pricing before launching because they know it's gonna be so ridiculously overpriced that it will scare some buyers off!!!!
Now let's see if either of the networks can even match the iPhoneb4 deals we've been seeing in Namibia (Namibia for crying out load)!!

yawn... had mine since the USA launch... and I paid R5500.

Rather go for a Blackberry... trust me on this one... I use to bring these suckers in by the boatload.

I am not interested in contracts at the rip off deals that we are offered from VC and MTN. Consequently I purchase my phones directly.
So Australia you are getting the benefit of my upgrade in October.
Don't expect any change in rip off policies on Tuesday.

Ok sir. You must be a sage sent from the future. I'll take your word for it and get a phone that I have no interest in. Thank you for your advice.

But you must believe Rendier... he has 40+ 2TB hdd's ALL full...... he's a god.

R7399 is not a ridiculous price for the phone.. its still a bit expensive though

what do u use this full bluetooth for? ive never really needed to do anything with my iphone which i coudnt. played with my dads blackberry a bit, he hates it. phone itself felt flimsy and unintuitive...but guess its a matter of preference. i played with my sister iphone 4 a bit, doesnt really seem to offer much more than 3GS, but nice and fast. she got it in Aus basicly for free with her contract. im upgrading my 3G if the prices are not insane. getting a bit on the slow side. i dont see any reason to get a black berry, u can have the same messaging for free feature without needing pins on the iphone. although the app might cost u $1

Incredible Connection put out these details on their Facebook page earlier yesterday.

CLP-VSP IPHONE 4 32GB BLACK - R8999.95
CLP-VSP IPHONE 4 16GB BLACK - R7999.95

So the prices here:
http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/269115-Iphone-4-prepaid-pricing-for-Vodacom

would be good even.

I've got my credit card ready, been saving up since i got the 3G :)

I have mine ready too! Been waiting a long time for this. I just don't understand the midnight thing. Do we need to camp out in front of the store?

Hmm I though it just sounded like the 3 istores (CT, JHB, DBN) will stay open till midnight and beyond to process the 'hordes' of people.
The only thing is, there aren't many hords in SA willing to lay down R8000 a pop for a cellphone.
I happen to be one of those horders.
Over two years all I had to do was save R11 every day :) thats only R10 more a day than a TV license.

Oh and if they sell and iPhone before 0:00 Steve Jobs will fly to S.A. himself and cut off the arm of the store attendent with ninja-star.

I have an iPhone 4 as my main phone and have just recently replace my BlackBerry (secondary phone) with a Palm Pre Plus. Don't get me wrong - BlackBerries are good, I just get bored of them really quickly....
Had an iPhone 3G for 2 years and never vote bored of it - that's why I got the iPhone 4 :)
Everyone is different so I guess everyone has different opinions on phones hey?
