[OLD] Unable to get 4G/LTE? Your SIM needs to be provisioned

Hi All,

I upgraded to the Samsung A3 last week, but seem to be having problems getting a 4G connection.
The Vodacom assistant did the sim swop to the micro sim, and said all the settings will be loaded.
When using mobile data, I only get HSDPA, but never 4G.
A friend who is also on Vodacom can get 4G standing next to me, so it is not an area thing.

Any advice on what I need to do?

Having a similar issue. On my S6 only getting H+ even though where I stay I am covered for LTE. APN is lte.vodacom.za
 
Thanks. It is set on LTE/WCDMA/GSM. I am on the edge of the coverage map though. Maybe that makes a difference? By the way, on the Galaxy is S6 is the LTE symbol H+ or would it be 4G?

Should show is either 4G or LTE.. H+ is 3.5G. Try test it in a good LTE area. If still nothing, then we can try and remove LTE from your line and provision it over.

I am also having an issue with LTE on my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge - it doesn't pick up LTE yet my previous phone did.
Vodacom Customer Care says that LTE is activated on my number though.
The APN is set as lte.vodacom.za
Please help.

Prepaid or contract? You can now also just use the normal "internet" apn .... without the bunny ears :)
 
Vodacom Pathetic service in solving LTE problem on IPHONE 6s

Is there ANY Iphone specialist that can help me with a problem Vodacom cannot resolve themselves.

They activated APN, LTE, Network Sync. Did sim swap twice ........... 4G on my Iphone not getting to work.

Call ref no. 1-4892873497 must be resolved today !!!

You people keep on sending me different reference numbers but my problem does not get solved.

My primary no is still not getting any 4 G signal.

I bought a little 'over the counter' nano SIM card (completely diffe...rent number than my primary number) just as a test..... Put some airtime and data on it .... Inserted into my phone and it is working 100% WHY IS ONLY MY PRIMARY NUMBER STUFFED UP ??? Vodacom already ALSO done a sim swap twice. STILL DOES NOT WORK. Can you please get a senior network specialist (or Iphone specialist to contact me urgently)

I need to have LTE working on my primary number URGENTLY. LTE is the only way i can access my security cameras around my house.!!!

I visited Vodashops MANY times. SIM swaps was done MANY times. Spoke to VARIOUS agent and all they recommend is ... reboot your phone.

PROBLEM NOT SOLVED !!!!!!

Please get one of your Iphone specialists to phone me or make me an appointment and i will bring the phone so they can test directly and also see if all settings is correct !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Go to "settings"
Then "Cellular"
"Cellular data options"
Voice & Data must show "4G"
"Cellular Data Network"
At all APNs make sure you have "lte.vodacom.za" without the "

Thanks a lot for your reply. I have already checked these settings on my phone and they are all there just as you said.

I went and bought a separate nano sim (different no) "over the counter" from a Vodashop >>> loaded some air time and data onto it >>> insert it into my phone and it worked 100% immediately.

My problem with my primary number must be with Vodacom and on my specific sim card. They also already swapped it twice. Still no joy. Only 3G where i always got 4G before (at home and at the office)

I am already struggling with Vodacom with this issue for a month now. I don't know where to turn anymore. Everytime you contact 111 you wait for 10 min to get your call attended to and then they tell you crap like "we fixed it" wait 4 hours and reboot your device.

I got sms's that APN activated, LTE activated, Network SYnc activated >>>>>>>> but still no 4G. The security cameras around my house can only be accessed remotely via an LTE connection.

They are PATHETIC, PATHETIC, PATHETIC !!!!!!!!!!!!!
