So yea.. my IMAP email client alerts me: I have a message on one of my gmail accounts...

I click the message.. and bam! "Unable to retrieve" "please enter password" ... so I do, and then I get informed: "IMAP is not enabled for your account!"

I log in via the web interface .. head over to "settings/forwarding and pop" and sure enough .. no more option for IMAP.. Where'd it go?

So uh.. anyone else had their Gmail IMAP just up walk off? :o

Nope, I have imap enabled on about 7 accounts (I have far too many email accounts), haven't had a problem yet.

You might want to increase the server timeout a bit too. I've upped mine to 5 minutes.

Well.. this morning my two gmail accounts mentioned earlier are back to normal operation :) .. but the problem has now appeared on one of my other accounts! :(
