22" Samsung Out of Focus

Hi All

I just got 2 Samsung 2232gw screens.

The one I am using at home with a 8800GTS card and the other one is at the office connected to onboard display.

Now the one at home is crystal clear and awesome, but the one at the office is out of focus and blurry.

I also can not get the resolution set to 1680 x 1050 the pc only lets me go to 1600 x 1200 and up but not 1680 x 1050.

I have an old 5200 agp card that i could put in there, as that mb only supports agp, Do you think this would sort the problem ?

Currently it is with the blue one , vga or d-sub,you know what I mean.

That is analog AFAIK and dvi is digital.

So yes the onboard display does not have a dvi port

That's your problem right there -- you must use the monitor's native resolution of 1680 x 1050 to have a sharp pic.

See if you connect the monitor to the 5200 via DVI if the problem goes away :) Set it to 1680x1050 (if you can) to have a clear image, since it's the native resolution.

btw- these screens are awesome, coming from a 19" Benq lcd that i thought was nice, heh , these are nice
 
these monitors are not nice man

these monitors are off the chart freakin amazing :)

I got a 226BW a month or two ago -- and it's awesome. It's my first LCD, and I still can't believe how fuzzy my old monitor looks in comparison to it.

ETA: yay 800 posts :)
 
Ok i popped in the 5200 card and swopped to dvi cable and everything is fine now.

I am also betting on resolution being the problem. A non shielded cable can also give a distorted picture...
