Disposal of old PC junk?

I have tons of old (mainly broken, i think. Some are just old but might still be working) PC stuff just lying in this one room. What is the most eco friendly way to get rid of it, that doesnt involve too much effort on my part since I will need to do all the work of sorting the place out (at most of willing to deliver it someplace)?
 
No man!
Go take it to a charity or something, you'll feel good about yourself doing it for them, especially if you can build up a pc or something and put some games on it for the kids to play.
 
Got a couple of screens, if they work they can go to charities. But I'm really talking about things like 10 broke CD-ROMs and such...

And no, the side of the road is not a good environmentally sound option, who kneows what stream it ends up polluting then.

Lol, it just want to know what to do with the broken useless stuff, I'm sure even you dont want 10 broken plain old average CD Roms? Or the broken A+ tomato red motherbaords. Thats the stuff I want to dispose of in a better than rubbust bin manner.

Now I'm sure the AMD K6-2 550 and its socket 7 motherboard is something you are more interested in...
 
I have some old Sun equipment to give away. Trying to sell it does not seem to work. Anybody?
