Wanted – Socket 478 CPU's and motherboard's

Hi, does anyone have a Socket 478 CPU, 3Ghz or above for me to buy

It must be in a good condition please, no fun in buying a CPU with some transistors burned out on the chip

If I can get it for free, that would also be fine with me

AND I also want to Talk about the possibility of some severe overclocking, without getting my thread closed by mod

Unfortunately no 478's...

...but I do have a couple of brand spanking new Socket 754 Gigabyte K8 Triton GA-K8NS (rev. 2.0) motherboards, with AMD Sempron 3400+ Socket 754 CPU's (and one boxed Sempron 3000+), 1,2 or 3 sticks of Kingmax or Samsung DDR400 512MB or 1GB Memory Modules and ATI Radeon 9550 256MB AGP8X Graphics Cards that a client ordered for a specific build 6 months ago, then disappeared off the face of the earth - unfortunately I cannot give them away though; I just haven't had the time to advertise them... :D

AMD Sempron 3400+ 256 KB Socket 754 CPU (Palermo)
SKU: CP2-SEM-3400 AV (not boxed version, but has original new AMD fan & heatsink)
2000 MHz Frequency, 1600 HT Speed, 256 KB L2 Cache, 754-pin package, Hyper-Transport Technology

.........howard you should advertise it earlier. My 754 MB was fried beginning of the month, could not find 754 MB thus I got my new rig as a early upgrade..... Will PM you.
 
howardb, I don’t have that much money:o to buy new pc’s because my old pc’s is not to bad, all have DDR333/400 512 to 1024mb ram:p, and the speeds goes from p4 2Ghz Pentium to “”””2.4Ghz Celerons, that can reach 3Ghz Celeron :confused:””” with standard Intel 2200 rpm cooling system – temp 44 deg on idle max, I’m going to buy that for cooling: :D http://www.sybaritic.co.za/store/product_info.php?products_id=1571

Your best bet is probably e-bay or similar - there do seem to be some decent prices on the higher-end older cpu models in the 478 range, even some brand new 478's... :)
 
I usually use ebay.com / ebay.ca / ebay.co.uk...

There is ebay.co.za, but I don't think it very active...

Why would it be closed? Show me a video of a steaming and melting chip anytime! :D As long as it isn't mine...

I know it's many months on but... Still got a socket 754 mb for sale?
 
It's a socket 754 capable motherboard... Howardb mentioned he had two in the second post on this thread
 
Oh, I thought it was a typo because I have never seen or heard of a socket 754, I'm a Intel fan, hahah, that's probably Y :)
