Please add to that. Linux has it too. And a "Suspend" option.
 
heat generating appliances are the things we need to look at. toasters, heaters, geysers, top loaders etc they are the things that consumes the most electricity. we need to cut down on these if we want to make a real difference.
 
Will Eskom refund the cost of spare batteries? or Will SARS allow it as a deducation for a normal worker?
 
For all these conversions that people are doing to low energy light bulbs and buying gennies and ups's - SARS should take it tax deductable!
