From 18:10 I have been trying to connect to eskom.co.za, but NO website.
Doing a NSLOOKUP, gives me "cant find www.eskom.co.za"
Is it only my NameServers... or are other ppl getting the same?
Might be a temporary one.
Wanna check the schedules, seems there are some updated schedules out.

they've climbed 23000 places in the last 3 months on the global website traffic list...

although not having a server at the moment is affecting that

Eskom web ****e is down for one reason - our esteemed minister claimed we "would definitely not get to stage 2" and I bet we have.

I thought my local NS, router, DSL and my PC teamed up against me.
Thanks guys and girls! No need for me troubleshoot MY systems! :-)
Tech speak: seems the ARECORD is missing, corrupt or deleted.

Since you spoke tech..... :D
One trick I use is to do type nslookup and then change the server before I look up the domain:
Like so:
nslookup
> server 168.210.2.2
Default server: 168.210.2.2
Address: 168.210.2.2#53
> eskom.co.za
Server: 168.210.2.2
Address: 168.210.2.2#53
** server can't find eskom.co.za: SERVFAIL
> myadsl.co.za
Server: 168.210.2.2
Address: 168.210.2.2#53
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: myadsl.co.za
Address: 196.40.97.12
Name: myadsl.co.za
Address: 196.40.97.13

Has *anyone* been able to FIND eskom.co.za ?
I received notifications on schedule changes, for what its worth. IF/WHEN its up again, check you schedules too. They tend to change on Wednesdays, by the look of things.

So first they had the stage and shortfall amount (which was good cos sometimes it would say stage 1 or 2 but you could tell by the shortfall that you might get a slot from the next stage).
Then they drop the shortfall info, and later the stage no.
Today at 16h00 we get a power outage while the site is down and I can only go by poweralert, which only indicates an increase or decrease in usage.
Now they've put the stage info back but it says "LOAD SHEDDING IN PROGRESS Stage 1", whilst poweralert says "greenconst", WTF?
If they can't fix this kind of thing then what are the odds of them fixing the actual problem?:mad:

The developers of the poweralert site said they are aware of discrepancies. the eskom site is apparently the slower one to update.
