Taking a break from WOW(practicing DOTA on SA server for next WCGC with team)

I just hit outlands lvls is geting long and kinda dull or maybe ive been playing way too much.My druids lvl 64.
Well i havent played DOTA for long time (last time was at Eperors palace WCGC qualifiers) so was kinda fun coming back new items and heros. :)
But the old one still kick as.

And no lag on SA server man i enjoyed it its like a lan.
Think ill be playing more games on SA servers.Just not WOW thats stays good on eu server dont trust local ones.
 
Ive never understood how DotA works?
Could someone please explain to me what it is/how it works etc...
I used to play a lot of Line Tower, those were amazingly fun...

Basically you chose a hero who you level to 25. The idea is to destroy the other teams main "tower" before they destroy urs. You make items and combine them to form super items. Heros are very diverse and the game has many play styles.
 
Max per team is 5 (2 teams ~the Sentinel and the Scourge)

its sorta an RPG PVP game in warcraft 3
 
I prefer playing dota at lans, since wow can b rather anti-social

Try get a guild meeting and go for a raid, or get 10 people together in one room then do a Kara raid. Though 5 man instances is quite fun too when you can join with friends and drink a couple of beers while playing :D

Used to play starcraft on Lan, and some WC3 but have not tried Dota yet.
 
I think im going to reinstall WC3 today and get my DotA on...
I enjoyed those maps called Hero something or other, where you pick a hero (out of like 1000) and then go fight eachother in the centre..
good fun
even thought i always picked the worst hero, and there would always be some guy whos been playing for like 100 years and knows the game backwards. By the time you're level 4 he is raping your entire team with his invincible rock golem.. haha

take a break if u really need one, then come back to WOW when the new expansion is out! reroll a Death knight and go sit with arthas and have tea and cake!:sick:

Yeah we still play starcraft at our lans me and my budies but were all vry good so its intense games lol. you guys should try dota it most fun when all are noobs everyone learning new game.

We use to buy a new game and play it for the first time at our lans.
Its kinda cool to so who masters what game first.

Lol you should play DOTA AR mode some people are only good with some heroes.Dota is a team game if someone feeds the other team you ot troubleif a guy is too strong ask your budies to help let him push far into you area then wam 5 guys on him=dead lol.
Dota is a team game i have seen noobs rape pros cause they work good as a team.

Ive seen a pro take on 5 at once, get a 5way kill spree and still have more than 50% hp (Sum1 hit the Treeant with a nerfbat)

That ONLY happens if hes been feeded at start of game that means its noobs with no team work if they feed.
At high lvl DOTA games there is no way in hell one guy can wipe a team.

One guy will rape all if your noobs and got no sense of team work.
Go watch some top teams play and come back.
