Chinese fight to be black

I don't think the Blacks will fall for it though.... Chinese enjoyed First Class status in South Africa - why should they now be the ex-disadvantaged ones. Quite disgusting really.
 
BEE does not work.

Granted, you get the BEE types who actually want to make a difference, but they're far and few in between.

What I've been trying to get through to these PC liberals for ages. Racial discrimination has nothing to do with colour. The colour is incidental.:confused:
 
I need to go back to my family tree and find some hint of colour along the way so I can also jump on the bandwagon :rolleyes:

I'm sure it does, they were definitely disadvantaged.

The definition for BEE uses black meaning African, Coloured, Indian etc. However there was that Eskom case where an African (black) guy was promoted before a coloured because blacks were "more disadvantaged" and there were too many coloureds.

"Our definition of BEE includes the coloured and the Indian community as well." - In Cape Town at least.

Only Black South Africans believe race is only about colour. For them there is only white or black. Simplistic as in their minds. The Xhosa and Zulu is not different races just different Ethnic groups in their eye so if they kill one another due to rivalry then it will not be deemed racism. Stupid but that is how it is as we can see from the above post.

So why is this a issue. Before the end of Apartheid the Chinese fought to be declared as whites. Now they fight to be black. Yet they are none of the two. That is about race and if you read some posts that simplistic view is clear.

BTW I also believe there is gene differences between different races, is that also wrong and simplistic.
