I dont have the title of the program correct...I just kinda ad-libbed it from memory, however the official blurb says

"Next Monday, no more Mandelas. With the new leader of the ANC facing corruption charges Fergal Keene returns to South Africa to discover what happened to the rainbow nation. "

Preemptive negative rant: The international media turn a blind eye for years at the obvious nonsense here, forgetting about that "journalism" thing, then once things start collapsing more obviously they make a sensationalist spectacle out of it ... :/ ... it's rubbernecking, we're a freak show. If they were interested in fixing problems they'd try expose them before they blow up --- no, it's as if they'd rather ignore the simmering pot until the lid blows off, so they have a much cooler show.

I don't blame "the media" though, they're just give people exactly what they want, a few minutes of entertainment before the attention span runs out and it's on to something else. (It's not as if all the information about the troubles here haven't been available e.g. on the Internet for anyone to see. Nobody cares. Like the London anti-crime march they ignored.)

I would appreciate it if somebody can grab it from there and upload locally....i missed about the last two minutes of the show, but i am sure the world will still carry on spinning.

i'll be removing the file from there tomorrow night, so get it and share it while you can.

quick rundown: elections 94, some flashbacks to previous years, cape friends doing tik, lucky dube hijacking, mandela-->tbone (looks like chris rock when he was younger)-->zuma...tbone and his mate mugabe, refugees from the north, have a shower...are you a crook mr zuma? do you think you fit to lead the country? zuma giggles..a bit of a flashback to zuma trial where the judge is telling him off like you would a 10 year old..etc
pretty balanced, nothing much made up that i could spot. more like a recap on the last 14 years...to get people up to speed. guns*bang bang*mandela addressing the nation* tutu having his say* my wife crying*

still, zuma made to look like a plank is always worth a laugh.
