Ok i heard stories that anyone would be able to roll a lvl 60 death knigth at release of expansoin thats gone mean even a noob that never even lvled toon to lvl 30 will be able to tank outland instances its gone suck everyones gone have a death nigth main then for gold. :(

will kinda spoil wow if its true?

Nope. Theres a quest line you'll need to complete to unlock the DK. You'll need to be around level 60 or 70 to do it, and it'll be a pretty long and presumably difficult quest chain, from what I've read by Blizzard reps on the official boards.

yeah it will be hard and almost impossible the first say 6months after release then lowbies and noobs will whine and it will be unlocked ...just like they do with everything. Lol

I think it's a good question, but Khayne has it correct. Blizz have said there will be a quest required to play the Deathknight and it will be Epic.
However, I do think it will take a bit of time before people understand the class mechanics properly.
Just look at Shaman. It took Alliance a while to understand Shaman and thats with Horde having used them for a while.
Now imagine a new class no one has ever played.

this is what I have so far.

It's a chain quest that starts in Scholo.
Once you complete the chain and claim it back in Scholo, your Death Knight
will spawn in the middle of Scholo and you'll be 60 and ready for outlands

Just so that you all that didn't do scholo yet. It's very hard even as a group of 60 + So to even get in Solo would need at least lvl 70 or a bunch of friends in their lvl 60 odds. So it's not going to be so easy ;)

the quest itself will be similar in terms of the epix mount quests for pallas and locks, blizz wont make it a uber hard quest chain as blizzard have stated that they want everyone to be able to play the new class which includes casual and hardcore players.

my take for the the quest

Do a series of chest chains with groups, then youll need to solo your way out of scholo and then the quest and unlock is done.

Yes it will be hard and I bet the day the expansion is released and I log on after work and loaded the new software there will be at least 10 DK's in SW, much like the netherdrakes.

Scholo is pie. I've run that place broken on my Rogue and I love it.
If I need to do some Scholo for my Deathknight then I'm sorted.

Where did u get this info?

Last I heard there were no details about the quest.

Well sounds good and all with the quest itll limit the players rolling deathknigth for atleast a few weeks after that everyones gone have a DK.

I am just wondering what this is gonne mean too us waroirs and Druid tanks
If DK is 2hander wielding tank with better dps and and agro holding gone mean its gone be the only tank.

So Druids should prepare to lose tanking spot and spec resto and prot spec waroirs should go dps arms or fury :( .

At least if more people need to go to Scholo then there will be people to help the 'locks to get their epic mount.

I guess the Death Knight quest will be very similar to the 'lock mount quest. Lots of running around finding materials for a ceremony.

hehe doing it on your rank 13 Rogue will be easy :D
Try doing scholo in a Pug even at lvl 62

I love that instance too it paid for my Eppic mount skill (Skull Flame shield dropped - Sold for 600g :D

@Pitbull
I'm talking about Scholo at 55+ pre-BC days. My Rogue was my first 60 who I used to Raid with.
I ran LBRS/UBRS/Scholo/Strat broken and I still have some of the gear in my bank (like 7/8 Tier 0)

@Petruz
Blizzzard won't make Deathknights so good they nullify other tanks.

Feral Tanks were not really considered very viable pre-BC (although they were just less so then now) so when BC hit, Warriors bitched and moaned because Feral Druids had more HP and better Aggro Gen.
As more and more Raiding began people realised that Feral Druids can't tank everything.
At the moment all the Tanking Classes have nich roles.
Deathknights will be the same.

Any1 seen the 'hunter vs world' pve vids on www.warcraftmovies.com ?
They were and still are videos of a 60 hunter (pre-tbc) solo'ing DireMaul,Scholo and Strat I believe.

Guildies of mine duo'd scholo pre tbc (mage + hunter) once upon a time... /hats off to them

Scholo mance really aint that bad :D I solo farm it at the moment with my hunter for shards.
But all my chars went to scholo at around 59 as you can gain a full level there from clearing the instance. We also used to farm Scholo day in and day out when we still had to grind AD rep, was 1500 rep for a full clear, so had to do it way over 30 times to get to exalted :(

Is it official now that the death knight will be level 60 when you get it? or do you only unlock the class meaning it will be lvl 1 and available in your char selection screen?

There were some rumurs of it being level 20/30 and 60 when you get it aswell.

It's an outland ready char

meaning lvl 60 as per TBC

Well pre TBC feral druid had no proper gear for the class had too take rogue leather and use maces with alot of strenth and stamina or stafes
in TBC we got feral weapons changes stuff for us alot.
Druid tanking is been nerfed alot cause of waroir whines so we would not be the best.

Pre TBC i did uldaman with 3 people dps waroir and holy priest from start to finish was epic stuff.Well i tanked MT last nigth with full group of lvl64s
with me only lvl66.

I really love TBC as a druid they did think of us in terms of gear. :)

deathnight for starter are not going to equip sheilds so that a upside as that means warriors still have that as a plus, and as well there is no way a DK will be a main tank in a raid if they cant equip a shield. secondly DK use abilitlies wich have cool downs and also they have to make ruins which are for some of their attacks and also can equip to their weapons. aas they sound like they going to have alot of cooldown moves so can be powerful if played right

DK's are only going to be here for the gap in tanks atm.
i think all servers have a lack of tanks, sure they will be able to tank 5mans
and 10man, 25mans will require more of a meat shield (Warrior) than a dps
tank.

They never stated that a DK will be good at tanking, they only said its a
viable off spec tank for 5mans and maybe 10mans

And You forget.... lvl80 brings new talents/abilities for all classes :P
Warriors dont stress.... You will always be the main meat shield :) Ever seen
a druid block ? and a DK is a 2hander tank. doubt he will take have as much armor as a Druid or warrior.

DK's are here to fill the gaps :) Nothing more

The no-Shield argument isn't really valid. Druids don't use shields either.

Until they release a bit more info we can't do much except theorise about how their tanking will work.

Regardless, I'm keen to see how they do the quest.

@Petruz. Pre-BC there was quite a lof of Feral Gear around but I will agree not nearly as much as now.

The guild I was in Pre-BC had a very good Feral Tank who used a mix of ZG and Rogue Tier 0 to tank.
Naxx had some very nice trash drops for Feral Druids too.

If you have done the quest line in SMV Gordiend's Armor, cloak etc. at the end he turns into a deathknight, just so you get a nice look at one

Btw subject title.... should be going to be, not gone be :p
