JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - South Africa's powerful COSATU trade union federation has sacked its leader, an ally of President Thabo Mbeki, after an inquiry into his handling of a missing 500,000 rand donation.

how do you lose 500k and deny receiving it

do they get these donations in cash or something?

one oke says he gave it to them the other says he never received

are ppl stupid enough to give someone 500k without some sort of receipt or something lol

I seem to remember Willy Madisha being accused of taking the money, not lightly either iirc.
When he then said hokkaaii, I gave it to Blade COSATU threw a hissy fit.

It strikes me as very convenient that COSATU and Vavi opted not to look into the actual reason for the mess, i.e. where the money ended up but chose to discipline Madisha for defending himself???
Unless I missed something.
