skop die 8800gt nie daai ding bietjie plat nie? vir +- 200bux meer

die 9600gt eet die 256mb 8800gt.. maar die 512mb 8800gt is redelik beter.

R500 meer. 9600gt is 'n baie goeie kaart vir sy prys. As jy nie met hoe resolusies speel is dit die moeite werd en doen ook goedr met aa + af aan .

Hmm, suddenly everyone is talking Afrikaans..

Ek stem saam. Koop eder die 9600GT nou. Die prys sal val as jy wag , maar dan gaan daar al nuwe kaarte ook wees soos die 9800GT.:p Ek wonder hoeveel n 9800 GT gaan kos?

weird how one afr reply has such a devastating effect :D

jy kan sekerlik die 8800GT 512mb optel vir 22-2300?

miskien n nuwerige 2nd hand een, nuut is hul so tussen R2500 (by prophecy wat nie stock het nie) en R3300

I have just replied to a similar post in another forum so I shall Copy/Paste it here for u =)

The problem at the moment is that people are busy Comparing the 9600 with the 8800 - please stop lol. The 9600 should only be compared with the 8600 as it is an upgrade for the 8600 ppl out there. So naturally, you should only be comparing the 8800 with the upcoming 9800 which will feature a bunch of new stuff like DX10.1 ect.

Hope this clarifies the 9600 for some people... it is barley better than the 8600 and to be honest - wait for the 9800 if u are willing to spend some big bucks. Personally im sticking to the 8800 for now:)

barely better you say?. And see other results after page 22. You'll notice that they didn't even bother with the 8600 on the crysis demo.

The 8800GT is a better card no doubt. But there is actually a lot of merit in comparing the 9600GT to the 8800GT.

Big bucks? The 9600 is about 2 grand. Do you honestly think that the 9800GT will be in R2-R3k range?

+1 for 8800GT.

The 9800's are going to be > R4000

im very keen to buy the 9600gt now because im sitting with damn onboard graphics, which sucks...
anyone have any idea if the 8800gt's prices are planning on coming down soon? because i'll definately wait a bit and rather get the 8800.
and do we know when they're planning to release the rest of the 9-series? (surely that would cause a price drop in the 8-series?)

Hmm, suddenly everyone is talking Afrikaans..

:D
Ik zou een 9600GT als de 8-serie gaat kosten te veel voor mijn broekzak, het doodt een 8800GT 256Mb, maar een 8800GT 512 net sprongen vooruit!!
:D

Any-hoo! IMO the 9600GT is a good card!!

for R200 bucks more I would go with the 8800GT 512MB

it struck me that this is crap. it's the 245mb version that would be about R200 more would be a 356MB version not the 512. Which of course changes my vote to a 9600 vote.

245 an 356m WTF are you talking about!>?

Damn I ballsed that up completely. That is the price one pays for multitasking

+1 for 8800GT.

The 9800's are going to be > R4000

Rumours are saying pricing is about R3400 for 9800gt and R4500 for 9800gtx.

Thats what the owner of landmark pc shop said at systemshock forum.

This is obviously subject to rand/dollar.
