Mandoza accident - yet another celeb accident late at night

I know, but he came close... the point is... all these stars are getting involved in car accidents...

I used to work in the music industry and saw a lot of guys kill themselves in cars.

They get their royalty cheques, go buy fast cars that they have no experience driving, get pissed and wipe themselves, and some other poor sods, out.

Not that that is necisarily the case here - it IS possible that some twat in a jetta (not known for their performance) was driving at 80 in the fast lane and the poor sod Mandoza hit him up the arse, i have had a couple of frights lately when i have come up to some eejit driving slow in the fast lane. Least there is a small victory for good taste - one less Crossfire on the road.

I have been working away for a while and see the deterioration of the driving on the highways in Jo'burg, everyone is selfish and drives in the fast lane all the time, almost no-one uses the left lane any more. The speed HAS dropped tho.

imo me reckons Mandoza was pretty lucky not to get any breatheliser/blood taken - excuse was that the paramedics had already put him on a drip.

Ye I notice this is happening way to often...
But I guess its because the paramedics are there before the cops.

I'd say it's more likely that he was going 160 in the fast lane, trying to pass 120 going cars by "dodging" across the middle/left lanes . I see these BMW/fast car drivers do it all the time, more often than a 80-driving-in-the-fast-lane car. When going 160+ , 120 might feel like 80kmh....

doesnt matter if there is a car STATIONARY in the fast lane...the speed limit is there, and you are supposed to be able to see far anough ahead and drive a safe enough speed so that you can USE BRAKES IN TIME ....even if it means STOPPING

IF you hit any car because you couldnt stop in time on a freeway, its your fault for being an idiot.

But being an ex Hijacker he should know how to drive

Lol :D You know, there's a study I read about a few months ago. Most people invlolved in serious accidents considered themselves "better than average" or exceptional drivers. So it's just a matter of chance I suppose ;)

Or because celebrities try and cover things up.

Quick put me on a drip, the cops are coming!

On many occasions I've encountered cars doddling around at <60km/h on the highway without their lights even working!

But I suppose that even though you don't see them until the last few seconds, and don't have enough braking distance, then that must mean that the people who knock into them are still in the wrong, yes?

If they are going less than 60km/h then they are breaking the law and you have the right to be upset.

I agree ... I noticed during the news report they stated that no blood samples were taken, and thought to myself: "How convenient for these celebs"

Funny how the response to the news of this accident differs quite dramatically from the responses to the news of Ashley “Lee Haines” Callie accident....

Although it is quite possible that the celebs do in fact get stuff covered up, and do buy fast cars without the proper skill to handle those vehicles at high speed given the choice of having to administer a blood test or save a life is there really a choice?

Sure the paramedics can draw some blood but that migh cost the life of the victim, what good would your blood test be then?

Cheers
