Incident at Cape Town airport?

Went to the airport to pick someone up. Was told the pilot was very nervous, they had circled a few times and used the backup (East/West) runway. On the main runway was a stationary plane with emergency vehicles surrounding it.

So what's up (again) at Cape Town International?
 
It was a King Air BE-200 twin engine turboprop aircraft.

The undercarriage collapsed. Nobody was injured, but the runway was closed for a while until a crane took it away..
 
There was a report regarding training flights to force down planes re 2010 airspace.

Not sure though as to when.

14 to 19 March. 50nm exclusion zone. Won't affect commercial traffic or government aircraft, but anyone else has to file a flight plan and get police clearance in advance.
The chartered tourist choppers will suffer the most because they will have accepted bookings months in advance.

Cape Town international seems like a dodgy place....

The undercarriage collapsed?! That can't be good. At least it was only one of these tiny planes. Not the commercial type. :eek:
